To register for the Member's Trading Portal you are required to have an active Bartercard Card and know the amount of your credit limit.
Step 1: Accept Terms and Conditions
1. Read through the Terms and Conditions of the
site. (Make sure to understand your obligations as a seller and/or buyer
through the site).
2. Check the box to accept terms and conditions
3. Select Continue
Step 2: Provide Bartercard Verifying Details
Enter your Verifying Details as follows:
1. Your Bartercard Card Number
(this is not your account number, this number should end with a number
other than zero "0")
2. Personal name (not business
name); this name appears on the card and includes any "Mr" or
initials printed
3. Credit Limit, this can be found
on your monthly statement, and is not the available credit but the limit
on the account
Step 3: Provide Personal Details for Registration
Enter your online details:
1. Username (your unique name for
selling and buying on the MTP. This name is also the name that you will
log in with)
2. Password (This needs to be an
appropriate password and
needs to be remembered for future access to the site)
Enter your personal details:
3. Email Address: This is vital as all communication is sent to this email for any items, bid, won or sold through the auction or eMarketPlace.
4. Contact
Phone Number: Ensure
this is up to date as the phone number details are listed on transactional
emails to aid Buyers and Sellers in contacting each other
5. Select Continue
Step 4: Complete Regional Settings
Select your time zone from the
drop-down menu (This is important when dealing with auction closing times)
Select Continue
Step 5: Begin Trading Online!
