Regional Settings

The Bartercard Members Trading Portal is an International trading site that crosses many regions and as such time zones are subject to change. For instance, a user from Asia will be operating in a different time zone to a user from Europe or the Middle East. If an Auction is advertised to be closing at 12.00am, then this closing time will be different depending where in the World you are viewing the item.

Consequently, it is important for all users to ensure that their regional settings are set to their correct time zones, so that all the closing times and general information is relevant to them.

If you do not ensure that your regional settings are set up correctly, the times displayed on the site may not be correct and you could lose out on important items being auctioned.

You originally set up your regional settings as part of your registration process. To verify that they are correct:

1. Select Member Services

2. Select My Details

3. Select the orange Regional Settings link

4. To change your time zone, simply select the drop down arrow and scroll through until you find the same time zone as your region

5. Select Save Time Zone

It is important to keep your regional settings accurate to your location in order to view appropriate auction closing times.
