Delayed Transactions

 

Q.

I received an email stating that my auction item was delayed, what does this mean?

A.

The Auction is like a traditional off line auction, in that in rare occasions a listing can close and the transaction cannot be completed due to financial reasons.

 

*You should never send the goods until you receive an email notifying you of the completed transaction along with the transaction number.

6 DELAYED TRANSACTIONS – (specifically relating to Auction transactions)

 

6.1 A delayed transaction occurs when the Members Trading Portal is unable to process the transaction automatically, due to the Buyer having Not Sufficient Funds (NSF) to cover the amount of the transactions, incorrect card number, account temporarily suspended from making sales/purchase, outstanding fees or any other reason that may prevent automated processing.

 

6.2 Both parties, the Seller and Buyer, will receive email notification stating the transaction has been delayed and an outcome will be advised by Bartercard in due course. No product should be sent prior to notification that the transaction has been processed.

 

6.3 All transaction outcomes are advised by email. If the transaction has been processed the email will contain a transaction number.

 

6.4 No product should be delivered/collected prior to the Seller receiving notification from the eCommerce Administrator of the transaction (including the transaction number) via email. Please read your emails carefully to establish a transaction has been processed.

 

6.5 In the event that you are unable to obtain your emails or a technical issue has resulted in your being unable to receive email, please check your “Manage Auctions” area of the website, or alternatively, contact your Brokerage.

 

6.6 Bartercard does not accept responsibility for any transactions that are delayed and end up declining.

 

There are two transactional outcomes:

 

1. Unsuccessful: Re-list the auction item on the Members Trading Portal

2. Successful: Contact the buyer/seller to confirm delivery
