Q. |
Is there any way I can find out the reserve price on an item for auction? |
A. |
When an auction listed is uploaded, the reserve price is set by the seller and remains confidential throughout the auction process.
The seller is under no obligation to disclose the reserve price.
As a bidder, you will see if a particular item has reached the reserve price by viewing the current bid price on the Auction item’s main screen.
If a proxy bid is in place that is above the current reserve, however the current bid that is in place is below the reserve, then the Auction will not display if the reserve is met and will stay at Reserve Not Yet Met.
In this situation, when the Auction closes, the current bid will rise to the reserve price and transact at this amount. |
