What does the Online Directory "What" search do?

The ‘What' field will find you the type of product or service you are looking for on Bartercard.

When searching for a product or service you must select the required country first.  You can then enter a combination of letters including: business type.

I.e. the category that the item is classified under, specific products and/or services.

If you already know the name of the business you are looking for, then enter it in the  "Business Name” field.

How does the "What" search work?

Follow these tips for the best results and most effective search to find the Bartercard member to help you:

Your results will generally include multiple links per business type. So for instance if you enter Accommodation, you will also receive the results for Resorts, Hotels, Caravan Parks and so on.

Keep your searches broad for more results.

The first will be the entire list of businesses for that type and area.

You will also receive links to Auction and eMARKETplace listings.  

On the Search results page, similar Business Types are grouped together and ordered with the closest matches at the top of the page. This ensures relevant searches are nearest to the top.

Alternatively, you can select a 'Business Type' from Browse function located at the top of the main page. This will assist you in looking for a variety of options.

What does the Online Directory "Where" search do?

The 'Where' box tells us where to look for a product or service,  it must be used in conjunction with the browse.

'Where' is based on the region the member is advertised in.
